The new AppoinTile for Windows Phone 8
It's here! AppoinTile version 2.0 for Windows Phone 8 is now available to download.
What's new?
- Wide tile and small tile supported (Windows Phone 8 only)
- Option to create appointments by tapping a tile (Windows Phone 8 only)
- Added horizontal flick support to Meeting Assistant to navigate through items
- Fixed "send to organizer only" option not working
- Syncing will not stop if app not used in 15 days (Windows Phone 8 only)
While now being one wide tile, it still allows an optional secondary tile you can use for tap actions like to open Meeting Assistant, create a new appointment, open the full list or just refresh/resync.
More than just "a tile"
The app includes a feature called Meeting Assistant, which pulls up all the info you need in hand by your meeting time. You can setup the app to take you to this screen by just tapping one of the main screen tiles... one tap away!
From the Meeting Assistance screen, you can set alarms to remind you something either before, during or after a meeting.
Ever wanted to remind something during a meeting? or before it starts? or just after it ended? Now you can! You can also send "arriving late" message to all attendees or just the organizer, and opt to send via SMS as well.
There is also a 2.0 version coming for Windows Phone 7.8, taking advantage of the wide tiles.
For Windows Phone 8 users, you can get the app now from the Marketplace or official website. It has a free trial period of 15 days.
Enjoy!

This app sounds incredibly handy for busy professionals! The ability to customize tiles and set meeting-specific alarms is a game-changer. It's almost as satisfying as solving a challenging Sudoku puzzle, where every piece falls perfectly into place. Knowing I can send a "running late" message so easily is a real lifesaver.
This update for AppoinTile on Windows Phone 8 looks fantastic! The new wide tile support and Meeting Assistant features truly enhance productivity. I'm especially impressed with the "arriving late" message option; it's a game-changer for busy schedules. Much like skillfully aiming in 8 ball pool, these new features offer precision and control over your appointments.
